It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of Dr Shekhar, Senior Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH). Dr Shekhar, who was away in Australia at the time of his passing, was deeply cherished by all who had the privilege to know him. Our thoughts are with his family – his wife Snehal, his children Samar and Tanvi – as they navigate this unimaginable loss. Annual Scientific Meeting on Intensive Care (ASMIC) 2024 is organized by Malaysian Society of Intensive Care (MSIC) and will be held from Sep 6 - 8, 2024 at Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
FCCS is an internationally recognized course providing basic critical care information to the non-critical care specialist. FCCS was developed under the auspices of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, USA and locally administered by the Society of Intensive Care Medicine (Singapore) and SIMS-IMSE.
Brought to you by the same intensive care societies behind SG-ANZICS – the Society of Intensive Care Medicine, Singapore (SICM) and the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Society (ANZICS), APICS was launched in 2021 as a virtual conference in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, as our flagship event, SG-ANZICS, was unable to take place.
Moving forward, we have concerted our efforts into a single intensive care conference – the Asia Pacific Intensive Symposium (APICS). The “SG-ANZICS Asia Pacific Intensive Care Forum” will thus now be known as the Asia Pacific Intensive Care Symposium “APICS by SICM X ANZICS”. The rebranding reflects our position as the leading intensive care conference in the Asia Pacific region.
To encourage budding investigators to pursue intensive care research, Society of Intensive Care Medicine (Singapore) (SICM) is pleased to announce the inaugural SICM Pitch-for-Fund Programme (PFFP) in 2024. Each grant award offers up to a maximum of 10,000 SGD.
